Graco Travel System

I was helping a friend move her things out of her house, and she was throwing lots of stuff away! I managed to salvage this travel system from her in near perfect condition!

Thank you!
Chandeliers, chandeliers
by shannamarie on Mar.27, 2009, under Uncategorized
I really, really like this chandelier. Since this piece is stuck in a museum, I may have to find some sort of blown glass art to convert into a chandelier.
The room I plan to place this chandelier in will have many plants, along with dark cherry or walnut wainscoting. Sadly, the resale value of the home would be hit because this chandelier isn’t very flexible. whoever decorated the room after me would be required to take the chandelier down or decorate with a green theme.
A chair I think I could make

There is simplicity and tasteful design to this chair – I believe I can replicate it. Now – while I love the back of the chair, the front leaves me wanting for something more…. chic.
Planning for a Baby

I plan.
I plan alot.
Should I share my plans for my future children here? I dunno, I don’t want to lose focus… but at the same time, it IS my notebook. Just scraps of information here and there… no focus…
because…

Dark Walnut, Kale, Nickel and the Sea
by shannamarie on Mar.22, 2009, under Bathroom
What in the world do these four things have in common?!
These are the colors I would like to use in the guest bathroom – dark walnut, kale green, sea green, and brushed nickel.
I think it has a nice earthy and watery feel – and is definitely warm despite the cool colors.
I want the guest bathroom to be inviting of course, but also to have general utility. I want the sink to be deep for hand-washing clothing, the toilet tank to be covered in some way, and a shower for bathing [no bathtub, blargh!].
Possibly I could make the counter and sink out of poured concrete – one piece. And then cover the counter with a layer of thin dark walnut colored MDF, and then glass [or possibly some other clear unbreakable material].
Although I felt as though the color scheme just felt right, I had to check and make sure – and it was! The colors I chose are complementary to each other – take a look!
I like. [Of course I do, it was an idea that came from my head!]
An Exciting Adventure
by shannamarie on Mar.22, 2009, under Home
Do you know how it feels to live in a home that is paid for? It is definitely a relief – it gives you a sense of peace and excitement.
Why excitement? Because – you can remodel and do whatever you want! No more rented spaces you can only make temporary changes to… you have your own space you can shape and mold the way you want!
I am thrilled to be imaginative for once, and to have a mate who is content with my ideas [for the most part]. I will share my ideas and flesh them out on this notebook here [it is not a blog]. Feel free to comment and mention any shortcomings – it is the only way I will be able to make my ideas perfect! [Well, close to perfect!]
